Membership Benefits

Membership within a union offers a variety of protections, benefits and avenues for support. Prescribed below are a number of ways in which the Federation is able to support its pilots to succeed in their careers.

Legal Representation

  • FANZP do not hold a lawyer on staff and instead utilise the services of employment law specialists SBM legal when required.

  • No retainer or set fees are paid to SBM Legal which ensures member fees are kept to a minimum.

  • Where appropriate, if a lawyer with speciality in another subject matter is required, this will be arranged.

  • Tim Oldfield of SBM Legal has specialised in employment law for the entirety of his career, with particular experience in industrial relations.

  • Tim appears regularly in the Employment Relations Authority and Employment Court.

Insurance

FANZP are proud to offer our members a diverse range of comprehensive and competitive insurance options to address a variety of unexpected life circumstances. Policies and employer contributions vary based on employment agreement coverage.

An overview of available policies and benefits can be found by selecting the relevant fleet below.

For further information please download the applicable Employee Benefits Booklet found on the Korunet, or contact our Medical & Welfare representative.

Accidental Death/Permanent Disablement
